In a world that pushes individuals into patterns of aloneness and isolation, each person needs a place where he or she can find himself or herself.  Even Jesus had his place of repose and renewal.

At First United Methodist, we strive to be that place in the Gainesville community; a place to learn about our Lord, ourselves and our world; a place where we can laugh, cry and share ourselves in the safety of a caring community; a place to find Jesus Christ in time of worship, both corporate and private, and a place where we can join our Lord in reaching out to touch our world with love!
